Hello Family and friends!

Just an update about the happenings! You will have to visit in "shifts", as we only purchased enough carpet for ONE bedroom, hallway, and stairs. The other bedroom will be next, along with redoing the bathroom. Then we will all move upstairs and begin working on the master bedroom, walk-in closet, and bath. BUT, we have a great backyard, and a fire pit going in as well. So bring the sleeping bags and smore makin's! Kidding. We also have lizards.

David is, at this very moment, jumping out of a helicopter. Like I said...I am OK with watching Dr. Phil and shopping at Walmart. Leave the crazy stuff to David. He graduates tomorrow, if he is walking and able to do a 12 mile road march/full gear, at 1:30 AM. Do you realize that I get up when he does and make his sandwiches? HHmmm? Huh Carole? HhHmmm? You thought I just had pedicures and chatted with neighbors!

Well, looks like the DISH Network dude (Jamal) is here to finish the set-up. Just wanted to say hi, and hope you all had a great weekend. Can't wait to see some pictures, Darla.

Mom, sounds like you guys had a blast too! Send pictures!

  1. So, in Tennessee, do they use the lizards in place of the marshmallows or the graham crackers for making smores? They just don't sound very tasty to me!
Be kind to Jamal - you may need him again.

  2. You will now be able to return to HGTV! That's the most excitement I need! OK - where are pictures of the house with all the unpacked boxes???? Come on - get down to the real stuff!

Be happy! Loves to you and Davis and Jinny! Keep cool, and safe in your shelter when the nadoes come!

  3. Howdy David and DiAnne, I love that you have a blog. I never did figure out the other connecting program that is out in the world, you know the one I signed up for but never did write on...WOW, you have one great husband. We too are proud of his military honors. Way to be an American Hero. I love seeing and reading about the commraderie that goes with being a soldier. Thanks for sharing. As for getting down to the simple living. . .AMEN to that, those wonderful and amazing Mongolians taught me so much about what it means to SIMPLIFY. Have a great week. Keep sharing the pics. Love You
